Every year we observe the 16th December as a Victory Day. On this day in 1971 the barbarous Pakistani army surrended to the command of the Indian Army and Bangladesh Liberation Forces. Through their surrender the nine months’ War of Liberation came to an end and Bangladesh came into existence as an independent sovereign state. As such this is regarded as the Victory Day.
